Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Overview

Corning is seeking a Scale-Up Product Line Specialist to lead cross-functional coordination across fiber, cable, connectivity, and hardware portfolios — delivering integrated solutions tailored to hyperscale customer architectures. In this high-visibility role, you will partner across product line management, manufacturing, commercial, and supply chain teams to ensure the customer's end-to-end solution needs are met with precision and speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across product line managers, technology, and commercial teams to deliver cohesive, customer-specific solutions and maintain solution-level roadmaps aligned to hyperscale customer architecture and deployment plans
  • Lead or support solution-level initiatives spanning multiple product lines, including business case development for investment timing, cross-product alignment, and customization
  • Support customer-facing technical and commercial discussions; provide competitive insights and guide counter-strategies with product line and sales teams
  • Track and communicate account performance metrics — including solution profitability, delivery performance, roadmap alignment, and commercial agreement compliance
  • Forecast account-level demand at the solution level in partnership with product line managers, commercial, and supply chain teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in commercial, product, or strategy roles — OR — Engineering degree with an MBA and experience in strategic coordination or solution planning
  • Experience coordinating complex product or customer solution initiatives across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Familiarity with hyperscale architectures, fiber optics, connectivity, or cable
  • Experience developing solution-level business cases for product investment or cross-product alignment decisions

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of the hyperscale data center market and hyperscale customer operating models
  • Technical familiarity with fiber, cable, and connectivity infrastructure
  • Experience supporting or selling into hyperscale accounts

Work Conditions / Travel

  • Up to 25% travel required, domestic and international
  • Travel may include customer visits, cross-functional team meetings, and site engagements

The range for this position is $100,646.00 - $138,388.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
