
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As Product Line Manager, you will be a key business leader and part of the Systems Irvine Business Unit whose product portfolio includes optical systems, light sources, sensors, lens assemblies, optics, coating and manufacturing services. You will be responsible for a line of products in the Lithography segment including product strategy, roadmap, sales pipeline, and new market growth opportunities. Your priority and focus are with key customers and internal stakeholders to develop and lead strategies to maximize growth, profit, and customer satisfaction. In this exciting, fast-paced role, you will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing in the Systems Irvine Business Unit.
You will make an impact by:
“Owning” team, product, and product line business success
Directs the development of company market requirements for MKS Lithography market, including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing
Drive the development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace
Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans
Conducts market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs
Establishes pricing strategies
Collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s)
Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments
Is the technical advisor for specific product(s) assigned
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a science, engineering, or technical discipline preferred
5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or business leadership within a technology-driven environment
Ability to act as a technical advisor for product lines, with background in optical systems, laser technologies, or lithography equipment
Proven ability to define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle management
Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and pricing strategy development
Skilled at translating broad concepts and business goals into structured product plans
Collaborative leader with a track record of working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to deliver results
Ability to act as a technical advisor for product lines, with the confidence to engage both internal teams and key customers
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
Ability to remain in a stationary position for majority of the time
Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
Noise level in the work environment is usually average

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range $120,000.00 - 170,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
