Job Description

Job Purpose

Support the growth and execution of the regional Intervention business by providing senior technical, operational, and customer-facing leadership. This role requires an experienced Intervention professional who can support the business across job planning, technical program development, equipment readiness, personnel development, pricing support, process improvement, and customer engagement.

The position is responsible for helping improve the region’s technical capability, field execution quality, equipment utilization, customer responsiveness, and overall business performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical support for Intervention operations across the region.
  • Support business growth by helping improve technical capability, service delivery, customer confidence, and operational consistency.
  • Assist operations leadership with strategy, planning, and execution of regional Intervention services.
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions, job planning meetings, service recommendations, and post-job reviews.
  • Prepare, review, and improve technical Intervention programs, procedures, tool recommendations, and job execution plans.
  • Provide technical guidance to field personnel, coordinators, operations managers, sales, and customers.
  • Help select the proper tools, equipment, BHA designs, and operational approach for customer job requirements.
  • Support pricing, quoting, and commercial review for Intervention jobs, specialty services, and complex operational scopes.
  • Review customer job details to ensure technical, operational, and commercial requirements are understood before execution.
  • Support field personnel during active operations, including troubleshooting, decision-making, and technical escalation.
  • Help develop field personnel through coaching, mentoring, technical training, and review of field execution practices.
  • Identify personnel gaps, training needs, and competency improvements required to grow the Intervention business.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of new Intervention personnel as needed.
  • Help evaluate equipment needs, fleet gaps, tool condition, inventory levels, and capital requirements.
  • Support equipment readiness by working with operations, R&M, purchasing, and materials teams to ensure tools are available, maintained, and fit for service.
  • Identify underutilized, unavailable, or missing equipment that may impact customer service or business growth.
  • Help standardize regional processes for job planning, technical program preparation, equipment dispatch, field support, and post-job review.
  • Support implementation of best practices across Intervention operations to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Assist with lessons learned, failure reviews, service quality investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support sales and operations teams with technical input for customer proposals, presentations, and service line growth plans.
  • Help identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve margins, reduce unnecessary purchases, reduce sub-rentals, and improve equipment utilization.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, materials management, R&M, sales, and operations teams to support upcoming jobs and business needs.
  • Provide support to operations, sales, marketing, accounting, corporate development, and field teams as directed.
  • Understand and comply with Weatherford Quality Policy, Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Understand and comply with all Weatherford safety rules and company policies.
  • Complete work assignments to the highest quality level.
  • Perform other duties and activities assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Experience & Education

Required

  • Minimum 8–10+ years of Intervention operational experience
  • Strong technical background in Intervention tools, job planning, field execution, and troubleshooting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to support customers, field personnel, operations, and sales in a technical role
  • Working knowledge of Intervention equipment, rental tools, wellbore intervention services, and regional operations
  • Experience preparing or reviewing technical Intervention programs, procedures, and job plans
  • Experience supporting pricing, quotes, job costing, or commercial reviews

Preferred

  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • Prior experience as a lead Intervention hand, district technical lead, operations supervisor, or technical manager
  • Experience mentoring, training, or developing Intervention personnel
  • Experience supporting business development, customer presentations, and technical sales efforts
  • Experience with service quality reviews, failure investigations, and process improvement
  • Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle, R&M, inventory management, and capital planning
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required

  • Advanced technical knowledge of Intervention operations, tools, BHAs, procedures, and field execution
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex field conditions into clear technical recommendations
  • Ability to prepare high-quality technical programs, job plans, operational summaries, and customer-facing documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational decision-making skills
  • Ability to support field personnel during active jobs and time-sensitive operations
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop Intervention personnel
  • Ability to identify equipment, people, and process gaps that impact service delivery
  • Strong understanding of pricing, quoting, job scope review, and commercial drivers
  • Ability to work closely with operations, sales, R&M, purchasing, materials, and customers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs, priorities, and business needs
  • Ability to use diplomacy and professional judgment when working with customers and internal teams
  • Practical understanding of service quality, safety, operational risk, and profitability

Travel Requirement

  • This role may require domestic and potentially international travel up to 10%.
