To deliver on our ambitious customer protection strategy, ING is establishing a new Global Fraud Preprocessing & Sensors product — a foundational part of our Fraud Detection Platform.
This product is responsible for defining the sensor strategy, shaping the architecture, selecting and integrating internal and external data sources, and scaling this portfolio of fraud signals that power real‑time detection across countries. In parallel, it operates and evolves a global suite of Fraud APIs that other products depend on.
This products sits at the heart of fraud detection: high‑stakes, high‑scale, and with direct impact on customer safety.
Therefore, we will start a team fraud preprocessing & sensors. The team is newly established. This creates a unique opportunity for the new lead to shape the foundation, drive early impact, and help define how the team evolves. As Product Lead, you build and own this capability from the ground up
To put it short, the Product Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end responsibility. You work not only on delivery and on how we run a product, but also on creating a vision on how we create it, how we manage the business value and how we deliver a differentiating customer experience. The Product Lead ensures alignment with ING strategy to globalize, standardize and productise the digital products. Therefore, we need someone who can contribute to a continuous, emerging, all-round product vision covering all elements of the product life cycle, with the ultimate goal to increase customer impact.
You do that by steering squads who work on the product by providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders around the product. The people who work in the squads report hierarchically to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship, and you have continuous conversations about their career development.

As Product Lead Preprocessing and Sensors you report hierarchically to the Area Lead Global Fraud Detection where multiple fraud detection leads and products come together. As Product Lead you are also responsible for the IT delivery and as such you will work closely together with Tech. The team is newly established. This creates a unique opportunity for the new lead to shape the foundation, drive early impact, and help define how the team evolves. The team is located in different countries.
As Product Lead you work with different stakeholders in COO, Retail, Risk, KYC and local fraud leads and other relevant stakeholders in the countries. The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Product Lead Digital I"
