Product Lead – Mortgages Financial Health & Planetary Health

Your role

As Product Lead, you own your products end-to-end, defining both the what and the how You shape customer and business value, drive a distinctive customer experience and enable your squads to deliver and operate effectively.

You provide strategic direction, set roadmaps and KPIs and make data-driven decisions. You actively manage complex and often senior management level stakeholders, internally and externally, and build strong partnerships. You also lead and develop your team of Customer Journey Experts, helping them grow their craft and careers.

The team
Within the Mortgages NL tribe, we aim to become the leading mobile-first, sustainable mortgage provider in Europe. With 60 squads across Amsterdam and Leeuwarden, we cover the full mortgage journey for one of the Netherlands’ largest customer bases.

You will lead a product cluster of two business-IT squads focused on sustainable housing and financial health, delivering digital solutions (in the ING App and My ING) and partnerships and ensuring regulatory compliance of these solutions. Your teams collaborate closely with multiple product squads, as sustainability and financial health cut across the entire mortgage domain.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Product Lead, you:

• Create product visions, including functionality, technology, user experience design, customer acquisition and offline experiences needed to deliver on the product’s value
• Continuously monitor market trends and opportunities
• Define the delivery roadmap of the product and prioritise the product backlog
• Deliver through collaboration, bringing people together to work towards the same purpose. In this specific product lead role, this includes external stakeholders and partners.
• Take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data and display managerial courage to question and make decisions.
• Build the craftmanship and wellbeing of the employees in the team
• Optimize your cluster set-up to achieve your goals
• Ensure compliancy with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements
• Represent ING on the sustainable housing
