Job Description

At Radionix, we design and build products that help protect people and property. From intrusion sensors and wireless devices to connected security products and life-safety systems, our technology is used by customers around the world.

We're looking for a Product Launch Engineer I who wants to learn how great products move from an idea on a whiteboard to products that are manufactured, shipped, and used every day.

As a Product Launch Engineer, you'll work alongside Hardware, Firmware, Mechanical, Systems, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineers to help bring new products to market. You'll participate in prototype builds, product testing, pilot production runs, and product launches while learning how engineering decisions impact cost, quality, manufacturability, and customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people across different disciplines, and seeing how products are developed from concept through production.

This role gives you exposure to many.

You'll have opportunities to:

  • See products move from concept through production.
  • Participate in prototype and pilot builds.
  • Work directly with experienced engineers who will mentor and support your development.
  • Visit and collaborate with manufacturing partners.
  • Learn how design decisions impact manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers.
  • Build skills that can lead to careers in Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and Engineering Leadership.

What You'll Do

Help Launch New Products

  • Participate in design reviews and product development activities.
  • Support prototype builds and early product testing.
  • Help prepare products for pilot and production builds.
  • Work with engineers to solve issues discovered during builds and testing.
  • Support product launch activities and production ramp-up.

Work With Manufacturing Teams

  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to prepare products for production.
  • Help coordinate engineering builds and pilot production runs.
  • Support investigations into manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Learn how products are assembled, tested, and shipped.

Learn How Products Are Built

  • Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
  • Analyze production and quality data.
  • Help improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Support implementation of engineering changes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.

A Typical Week Might Include

  • Attending a design review for a new wireless sensor.
  • Supporting a prototype build with the engineering team.
  • Reviewing test results from a pilot production run.
  • Working with a contract manufacturer to resolve a build issue.
  • Analyzing manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participating in a cross-functional meeting with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams.

Career Growth

Many engineers begin their careers helping launch products because it provides exposure to nearly every part of the business.

This role can lead to opportunities in:

  • Product Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Hardware Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Quality Engineering
  • Technical Program Management
  • Engineering Leadership

If you've ever wondered how a product goes from an idea to something customers use every day, this is the role for you. You'll work with experienced engineers, learn across multiple disciplines, and help bring innovative products to market.
