Could you be the full-time Product Introduction (PI) Field Engineer in Thessaloniki we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside proactive and solution-oriented teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of a new rolling stock fleet during its warranty period. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers), provide technical support during fleet maintenance, and coordinate corrective actions to resolve in-service issues.

You’ll specifically take care of technical investigations and root cause analyses, but also support the implementation of engineering changes and maintenance actions.

We’ll look to you for:

• Supporting technical activities on Alstom products during the Product Introduction period, as well as during commissioning, warranty, and validation phases (if applicable).
• Collecting and reporting technical performance data to the Product Introduction Manager.
• Implementing corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Supporting engineering changes, software updates, and fleet modifications, including verification of correct installation and testing.
• Diagnosing operational equipment malfunctions and recommending preventative and corrective actions.
• Providing on-site technical support for the fleet during revenue service and maintenance activities.
• Investigating vehicle faults and failures occurring in service or during depot operations.
• Assisting with validation and commissioning activities following design changes.
• Ensuring technical documentation is updated and configuration control requirements are maintained.
• Providing guidance and support to technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Preparing and implementing field modifications (FM).
• Escalating critical technical issues to engineering and specialist support teams.
• Ensuring compliance with railway safety rules, company procedures, and quality standards.
• Promoting a strong safety culture within depot and operational environments.

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in English; Greek preferred, an additional European language is an asset.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in product introduction or system integration within infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of EHS and quality standards.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, technical documentation, and other relevant materials.
• Strong problem-solving and data analytics skills.
• Experience in warranty corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of rolling stock systems or general electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with railway standards, quality, and safety compliance.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills
