Job Description

Saxo is strengthening its product governance setup and is looking for a Product Governance Specialist for Commercial Arrangements and Inducements to take ownership of the firm’s inducement guardrails across markets.

The role

The role sits close to the business and focuses on making regulatory interpretations from ESMA, FINMA, FCA and UK, building framework integrity, and producing audit‑ready documentation, working in close partnership with the Product Owner for Commercial Arrangements and Inducements. You will help ensure that inducement‑related activity is clearly governed, well evidenced, and defensible under applicable regulation, while enabling compliant commercial outcomes.

You will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and evidencing Saxo’s regulatory approach to inducements. The role combines policy ownership, regulatory interpretation, and hands‑on advisory support to the business, with a strong focus on consistency, documentation quality, and supervisory readiness.

This role suits someone who is comfortable working with detailed regulation, enjoys structured problem‑solving, and wants clear ownership in a well‑defined regulatory domain.

Key responsibilities

You will own Saxo’s inducement policy framework and act as the primary point of reference for the various inducement requirements.

  • Own, draft, and maintain the Saxo Bank A/S Inducement Policy and related governance documentation.
  • Interpret and apply inducement and investor protection rules, including delegated acts and relevant local supervisory guidance.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and interpretations, including ESMA Q&As and local guidance across Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UK.
  • Communicate regulatory requirements and constraints clearly to commercial and product stakeholders.

You will design and maintain inducement frameworks that translate regulation into practical guardrails.

  • Maintain inducement frameworks, including tier models, value‑added service structures, and methodologies for assessing quality enhancement and proportionality.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear processes, controls, and work instructions.
  • Ensure controls are in place to prevent receipt of banned inducements, including under UK and Dutch retail regimes.

You will support regulatory review, documentation, and assurance activities.

  • Review commercial inducement proposals for regulatory correctness and defensibility.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of quality enhancement, proportionality, and best‑interest‑of‑client considerations.
  • Support internal audits, compliance monitoring, and regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain a complete and reliable audit trail for inducement‑related arrangements.

You will act as a regulatory partner to key stakeholders.

  • Act as regulatory counterpart to the Senior Product Specialist – Inducements (Commercial).
  • Provide practical regulatory guidance to support compliant commercial decision‑making.
  • Support internal training and communication on inducement rules and frameworks.

Your background

You have experience working with regulatory requirements in financial services and are comfortable operating in a policy‑ and framework‑driven environment.

  • Experience from one or more of:
    • Regulatory, compliance, or risk functions
    • Product governance roles
    • Investor protection‑focused roles
  • Foundational understanding of inducement and investor protection requirements.
  • Experience in multi‑jurisdictional environments is an advantage, but not required.

You work in a structured, careful way and are confident applying regulation in practice.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to deepen regulatory expertise.
  • Clear and pragmatic communicator, able to explain regulation in plain language.
  • Structured and methodical approach to policies, controls, and processes.
  • Collaborative working style with commercial and product teams.

We look forward to receiving applications from candidates interested in product governance and investor protection within a commercial environment.
