Job Description

Title: Product Engineer

Location: San Francisco
Company: Thorin
Stage: Seed

About Thorin

Most enterprise software still depends on people to push work forward, and things constantly fall through the cracks. Thorin is building autonomous AI agents that understand the full context of your organization, reading across Slack, email, docs, and other work surfaces to proactively keep things on track without anyone having to remember to follow up.

The company was cofounded by Markus Zirn, co-founder of Workato, and Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of Palantir. We have strong venture backing and are focused on what AI can fundamentally change about how companies operate, not just incremental improvements to existing workflows.

About the Role

We're building an AI product for enterprise customers. We need someone who can own large pieces of it end to end.

You should be a strong frontend engineer (TypeScript, React) who ships fast and writes clean code. You should have real experience building AI-powered products at work or at home, but thinking hard about what new interaction patterns are possible when models get better. You should have good product taste and often-updated opinions about what to build, not just how.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year(s) experience building and shipping user-facing products in TypeScript/React

  • Has built with AI extensively at work or with side projects

  • Can look at a complex AI capability and figure out how to make it simple and useful for a non-technical user

  • Fast. High standards for code and UX

  • Comfortable in ambiguity at an early-stage company

About the Team & Why Thorin

  • Be among the first engineering hires and help shape the core product and technical foundation.

  • Work closely with a small, highly driven founding team and design partners

  • Operate with high agency, rapid iteration, and direct customer exposure from day one.

  • Help define how a category-defining AI company builds and ships product from first principles.

  • Build with the backing of one of the strongest early-stage venture platforms in the industry.
