Group/Division

The KLA Services team consists of Service Sales, Marketing, Spares Supply Chain Management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, Digital Solutions and Analytics, and Technical Product Support. Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets – with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central technical resource / interface with design engineering, manufacturing, technical support, quality, marketing and field as the product(s) move through the Product Life Cycle
  • Proactively optimize serviceability, optimize cost-of-service and AVL through all stages of the PLC, and improve short- and long-term product service performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics and software, tooling, technical documentation, knowledge management, and training
  • Influence sustaining PLC designs to include features that will optimize KLA’s service business: calibrations and diagnostics, Cost of Service (CoS), reliability, design tolerances, Intellectual Property (IP) protection.
  • Participate in beta and sustaining escalation efforts, analyze data from various sources, to provide a detailed action plan suitable for execution by Customer Service Engineer (CSE) and Technical Support Engineer (TSE)
  • Act as system expert between TSE and DE, and drive technical PoAs independently to facilitate PoAs and drive standardization action to improve product serviceability.
  • Leverage learning and knowledge across the Technical Support organization through training classes, scripts, coaching, documents and updating other knowledge capture tools
  • Contribute and write technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, and best-known methods
  • Work independently to assist field service team requests and define requirements for feature requests.
  • Perform hands-on work for integration of Beta systems or Beta subsystems, including performing serviceability validation.
  • Work with Learning and Knowledge Services (LKS) to determine the training requirements for new products and/or upgrades. Train the trainer and teach or co-teach initial courses. Audit service training courses to ensure their quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with EUV tools or semiconductor processing equipment. Reticle equipment experience highly preferred.
  • Consistent track record to work on sophisticated problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Results oriented and driven to excel.
  • Strong analytic and data analysis skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams and to take a leadership role when needed.
  • Background developing and delivering remote technical training applying virtual reality, augmented reality and video.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
