We are looking for a highly motivated Product Engineer to lead the integration of transmission systems for hybrid and internal combustion vehicle platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of embedded control systems, diagnostics, and cross - functional collaboration in a global environment.
The selected candidate will interface with systems and calibration engineers to align on functional requirements, assess impacts on regulatory and safety standards, and lead the implementation of software and diagnostic strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring software quality, calibration traceability, and validation of system performance throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interface with systems and calibration teams to interpret and refine control requirements.
• Lead assessments and documentation related to regulatory compliance and functional safety.
• Develop diagnostic strategies and clearly communicate with global stakeholders via reports and presentations.
• Review and mark up control models to meet diagnostic and systems design criteria.
• Manage software and calibration integration for automatic transmissions.
• Track and document software versions, issues, and change requests.
• Perform fault analysis, data acquisition, and control system validation (PID, cruise, performance).
• Support software releases, troubleshooting, and vehicle-level testing during development and production phases.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Experience with automotive ECUs, control systems, hydraulic/electrical subsystems, and combustion physics.
• Solid knowledge of internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrain systems.
• Familiarity with propulsion components (engine, driveline, electric/hydraulic subsystems).
• Resumes in English.
Technical Skills:
• V-cycle software development process understanding.
• Experience with problem-solving techniques (DFMEA, DFSS, DVPR).
• Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of tools for project tracking and development workflows.
• Understanding of development architectures such as aSPICE, PLE, AUTOSAR, and ISO 26262.
• Advanced proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and control model development.
• Experience with ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, and Candela (Vector tools).
• Programming skills in C or C++; Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAN protocol (SAE J1939).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

• Multidisciplinary mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Clear and confident communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
• Fast learner with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
