About the Role:
We are looking for a  Product Engineer (Backend Focus) who combines strong backend expertise with a product-oriented mindset and a modern, AI-first approach to software development. This is not a traditional backend-only role. We need someone who can think beyond tickets and requirements — someone who can translate high-level business objectives into technical solutions and working prototypes.
In this role, you will design and implement backend systems primarily using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, while leveraging AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, LLM-based assistants, and other generative systems to accelerate development responsibly. The goal is not simply to generate more code — it’s to build faster without compromising architecture, testing discipline, QA processes, or release stability.
You will operate autonomously, take ownership of architectural decisions when needed, and help evolve how engineering teams work in an AI-accelerated environment. This role is ideal for someone who balances speed, quality, and maintainability while continuously improving delivery processes.

Backend Ownership with Product Thinking:

• Design and implement backend solutions aligned with business goals.
• Translate broad product objectives into technical solutions and working increments.
• Build POCs independently without requiring detailed task breakdowns.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design discussions.

AI-First Development:

• Use AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, LLMs, agents, etc.) effectively in real workflows.
• Leverage AI to understand legacy systems, refactor code, and accelerate development.
• Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs to ensure correctness and maintainability.
• Balance automation with engineering judgment.

Evolving SDLC & QA:

• Improve QA processes to support higher development velocity.
• Strengthen testing practices and CI/CD workflows.
• Help prevent technical debt while increasing output.
• Ensure release processes remain stable and scalable.

Must-Have:

• Strong backend engineering experience ( Node.js / TypeScript environment).
• Experience operating autonomously as a Product Engineer or senior backend contributor.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI tools in real development workflows.
• Strong architectural thinking and system design skills.
• Deep understanding of testing, QA, and release processes.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical execution.

Nice to Have

• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience scaling QA processes in high-velocity teams.
• Exposure to DevOps practices.
• Experience working in AI-accelerated development environments.
