About PD
As Purchasing Development, we purchase the materials and the production capacity to produce both home furnishing products and food. We have more than 1,200 co-workers global wide and we operate in 27 locations; this includes 6 category areasand Wood Supply & Forestry.

Daiva is the Product Engineer who has worked at IKEA for 23 years. She says this about the current work experience as a Product Engineer:
I act as an ambassador of IKEA values while cooperating during product development and improvements. My daily work is about keeping dialogue with different stakeholders with democratic design principles as a main highlight. It is about trust, cooperation, overcoming challenges together and as a result creating beautiful products for our customers.
The Product Engineer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of new products, the moves of products from one supplier to another one, and the improvement of existing products based on quality performances and customer expectations.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, the competences below are important for you.
For this position holder, it is important to know how to build and maintain business relations, have excellent communication skills, being a good and empathetic team worker, respect IKEA values, and be persistent You should be able to prioritize. Easy adaptation to changes and willingness to take responsibility is also necessary.
More Information
This position will be based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Travelling is a part of the assignment since our Engineers work closely with our suppliers. The selection process will take place continuously, so please send in your application in English as soon as possible but latest 11th of September 2026. Salary range for this position in Kaunas is 4306-5423 Eur gross.
