To provide technical/engineering competence to design and develop products which meet customer requirements, quality requirements and are safe and appropriately certified for use in hazardous and heavy industrial areas.
A. Responsible for design & development of GEIS products assembled in Australia to comply with marketing and customer requirements. This includes modifying existing products for introduction into the Australian market as well as development of Australia specific designs for the Macey product range. It also includes specifying and sourcing specialized components, ensuring product complies with certification, performing final manufacture and quality system checks.
B. Take lead on new product development to ensure product design is sound, achieves desired performance criteria, meets required standards and certification and is fit for purpose. Coordinate with cross functional team including BDMs, engineering, sourcing, quality and manufacturing.
C. Take responsibility and hold colleagues accountable for zero incidence safety culture
D. Liaise with sales engineers and estimators to produce commercially and technically viable engineering packages in accordance with approved customer specifications, internal norms and as per criteria supplied in contract review records.
E. Manage the completion of projects in terms of drawings, BOMs, instructions, specifications, time and cost objectives.
F. Specify & design production methods, techniques, jigs and fixtures to ensure that products are manufactured safely and as efficiently as possible.
G. Key player in localization and cost out projects.

J. Work with team members to support the manufacture of associated products
Bachelors Degree (would also consider candidates with trade background)
3-4 years of relevant experience required
Mechnical or electrical engineering qualifications
Competent in Solidworks
Experience with SAP would be advantageous
