The Product Engineer focuses on innovation, development and maintenance of product designs. Major new developments are a key responsibility of this position. A key job performance metric is revenue growth through new product sales. The product development engineer will shepherd new products from ideation through successful launch to the market place and will have full design responsibility throughout their life cycle. The position also has responsibility for maintenance of existing designs, including value engineering and design updates and corrections. Lead/Support quality improvement initiatives as per IATF 16949-2016 to achieve set sigma level for value stream. Guide production team on issue resolution using knowledge relevant to your department specialties.
