Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Product Engineer. This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week) based at our Moon Township, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

The Molded Case Circuit Breaker Product Engineer would report into the Marketing Organization. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for molded case circuit breakers by translating product and application knowledge into customer-facing documentation, engineering support, and cross-functional guidance that enables proper product application, supports business growth, and drives successful product lifecycle management.

A Product Engineer for Molded Case Circuit Breakers is responsible for providing deep technical expertise across the full product lifecycle, with a strong focus on application support, technical content development, customer problem resolution, and new product support. This role ensures that MCCB products are accurately represented, properly applied, and effectively supported in the market through collaboration with engineering, marketing, sales, quality, and customers.

What you’ll do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop technical thought leadership content, including white papers and application-focused materials, to communicate product capabilities, technical considerations, and industry insights.
  • Lead application-based technical analysis and provide guidance on the correct use of MCCB products in customer and market applications.
  • Create, review, and maintain technical documentation, including instruction manuals, operating manuals, maintenance manuals, and other product literature.
  • Support technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders regarding product application, performance, and use-case requirements.
  • Partner with product managers to provide technical knowledge that strengthens product positioning, messaging, and customer engagement.
  • Support new product development efforts by contributing application expertise, technical requirements, and documentation needed for successful product launches.
  • Assist with strategic customer escalations by helping resolve complex technical issues, clarifying application concerns, and supporting high-priority customer needs.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities by providing customer-informed technical perspectives that support long-term product development and market positioning decisions.
  • Provide technical training and continued education for other customer support resources at Eaton, building internal capability and ensuring consistent technical guidance across the organization.
  • Contribute to product quality improvements by capturing, analyzing, and addressing customer-reported technical issues and collaborating with internal manufacturing quality personnel.
  • Engage with targeted end-users to drive specification of Eaton components, thus creating demand for Eaton across multiple OEMs and interunit customers.
  • Represent the product line at technical events and industry groups to actively participate in and shape industry codes and standards.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, technical support, marketing and/or engineering
