We are looking for a Production Engineer.

What will you do?

The Product Engineer will be responsible for implement the correct balancing of the production lines, ensuring that the Production Area can meet the volumes on time, quantity and quality required, as well as planning the number of direct personnel, according to the client's requirement, to ensure the efficiency of the operation, deliveries to the client, generating the calculated standard hours. Additionally, the Production Engineer will be responsible to implement Ergonomics, Safety, Industrial Engineering Standards, Headcount Analysis and contribute to quality, productivity & delivery, and cost.

How will you do it?

  • Comply with activities specified in JCI Safety Commitment Letter.

  • Participate in Safety Subcommittees and Safety Audits as required.

  • Authority to perform and execute all roles and responsibilities assigned.

  • Participate in the safety and environmental goals established by the company.

  • Report unsafe acts and conditions, in addition to near misses.

  • Participate, reinforce, and follow the internal work regulations regarding safety.

  • Proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.

  • Participate in internal and external audits of the environmental and safety management system. (Environmental and safety policy, environmental aspects and impacts, danger and risk)

  • Participate in courses, talks or training on safety and environment as applicable.

  • Application of ergonomics in standard operations, defining the best condition for the employee to be safe and comfortable at workstations.

  • Identify and report any injury or potential injury and any potential environmental impact.

  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior.

  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe and off standard conditions, when immediate correction is not possible report to direct manager or to the corresponding department.

  • Review and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity and apply the Stop Work policy when needed.

  • Comply with activities specified in JCI Safety Commitment Letter.

  • Participate in Safety Subcommittees and Safety Audits as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Professional degree, preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

  • Balancing lines knowledge, Kaizen, continuous improvement, ergonomic analysis.

  • Basic knowledge of Mfg 4.0.

  • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.

  • Preferred experience in SPC and General Manufacturing Processes.

  • Computer skills and mastery of the use and application of programs such as: Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio.

  • English language; Oral, Verbal and Written Intermediate preferably (80%).

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Highly effective leadership and program management skills, able to manage both vertically and horizontally.

  • Be Proactive and Analytical Thinking.

  • Extensive knowledge in Balancing and Timing. (Yamazumi)

  • AutoCAD / Visio / Solid Works Knowledge.

  • Experience in the execution of improvement projects.

  • Experience in design ergonomic and Lean workstations.

  • Effective Leadership – Ability to influence others without authority to achieve results.

  • Decision-making capacity.

  • Teamwork.
