Job Responsibilities:
The Product Engineer applies engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and/or development of product concepts, components, or assemblies. The Product Engineer willbe responsible forprocess, material and product development targeted toward development and launch of new product programs for Magna Exteriors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES
Support program management in product and process development including prototype tooling and builds.
Create & execute goals,timingand cost for project(s).
Communicate/coordinate projects between program management, engineering, customer representatives and corporate representative
Assistin material procurement and support for prototype build operations in coordination with divisional resources.
Identifiesdesign work and creates design specifications for a variety of complex product components to obtain operational, cost, quality, and/or manufacturing feasibility improvements.
Analyzes complex design problems and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles.
Consults with personnel in various engineering activitiesrelativeto the design, drafting, and experimental construction of product components.
Provides technical support and follow-up on Design/Product Validation activities.
Travel as necessary to support Division and OEM launch activities or part development.
Provides engineering direction and support to design personnel.
Responsible for implementation of Customer Specific Requirement per OEM as requiredRefer to Quality per QSR handbook on the E&I web.
Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP, Open Issue Lists and Timelines asrequired
Support requestsofprogram management as needed.
