We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on software development experience to take ownership of technical projects and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-performing SaaS products. This role is suited for a strong problem solver who can work independently, make data-driven decisions, and translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
You will work closely with technical and product leadership, take ownership of key modules, mentor junior engineers, and contribute across the complete software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive software development projects independently from requirement analysis through delivery and production support.
- Understand product requirements and design effective short-term and scalable long-term technical solutions.
- Develop robust backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Work with MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and Amazon SQS for data management, caching, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
- Prepare high-level and low-level design documents, technical specifications, task breakdowns, and effort estimates.
- Present technical approaches and project plans to technical and business stakeholders.
- Build reliable integrations with external service providers using appropriate retry mechanisms, rate limiting, and failure-handling strategies.
- Debug production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and scalability.
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize bugs, features, technical improvements, and production support requirements.
- Contribute to technical hiring through interviews and candidate evaluations.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities and provide timely support for critical business issues.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering APIs, system architecture, processes, and user-facing technical information.
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure and enterprise SaaS development practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong backend engineering expertise.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building scalable systems using MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and/or Amazon SQS
- Strong understanding of RESTful web services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Proven ability to independently deliver projects end-to-end with measurable business or technical impact.
- Experience with ERP products, enterprise SaaS platforms, or cloud-based applications is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud infrastructure and modern software deployment practices.
- Exposure to Angular or ReactJS is a plus.
- Strong system-design, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills.
- Ability to perform effective root-cause analysis and design reliable, fault-tolerant solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and raise engineering standards.
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing priorities effectively in a remote environment.
