ABOUT THE POSITION

The Product Director will provide senior product leadership across several of Virtuos’ AI tracks, primarily General & Administrative functions, Sales and PMO, while supporting other tracks as needed.

Each track has a Product Owner leading it end to end and a Producer or Project Manager managing delivery. The Product Director will work across these teams to strengthen product direction, prioritisation and execution, while coaching Producers and Project Managers who are still developing their experience.

Product Strategy and Roadmaps

  • Work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define clear product strategies and roadmaps for each track.
  • Ensure roadmaps are grounded in business value, real user needs and measurable outcomes.
  • Help teams translate business problems into focused product priorities and practical solutions.
  • Identify dependencies, shared capabilities and opportunities to reuse or scale solutions across tracks.

Prioritisation and Decision-Making

  • Help teams prioritise features and initiatives when needs, resources and timelines compete.
  • Make and facilitate clear trade-off decisions when everything appears urgent.
  • Challenge assumptions and ensure proposed initiatives have a clear problem, user and expected value.
  • Adjust priorities as new information, user feedback and performance data become available.

Delivery Leadership

  • Guide Producers and Project Managers on planning, sequencing, dependency management, risk management and stakeholder communication.
  • Introduce practical product and project management disciplines that improve clarity, accountability and delivery.
  • Identify risks and blockers early and work across teams to resolve them.
  • Help teams move from experimentation to reliable delivery, adoption and measurable impact.

Coaching and Stakeholder Management

  • Coach Product Owners, Producers and Project Managers through product and delivery challenges.
  • Build alignment across business functions, studios, product teams and engineering teams.
  • Communicate product direction, progress, risks and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead through influence and help teams navigate competing priorities and perspectives.
  • Significant experience in product management, with strong product judgement and experience defining product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong project, programme or delivery management skills.
  • Experience overseeing multiple products or workstreams in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and navigating competing priorities.
  • Experience coaching Product Owners, Product Managers, Producers or Project Managers.
  • A practical understanding of AI and modern software development, sufficient to work credibly with engineers and technical leaders.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and build alignment across functions, regions and disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A hands-on, collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership from direction-setting through execution.
  • Experience in AI, technology, gaming or creative industries would be an advantage.
