Job Description

Manages the entire life cycle of product development for an assigned portfolio, covering strategy, planning, and project leadership to achieve business goals. Owns portfolio P&L and partners with cross-functional teams, vendors, and other Product Directors to deliver against assigned objectives. This role operates in an AI-enabled product environment; the successful candidate will be a practiced user of AI tools and will be expected to apply them from day one to accelerate capability definition, analysis, and roadmap development.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional development projects: Work as Project Lead on complex product projects (new or run-the-business) that involve engineering, data, and other vendors or functions. Develop and execute project plans with clearly defined performance indicators. Report updates to stakeholders as needed. Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional leadership internally and with clients, partners, and suppliers, as needed. Effectively influence others to adopt a course of action on critical, complex, or sensitive information. 25%
  • Financial review and price modeling: Conduct financial analyses to assess product viability, develop business cases with pricing models to support strategic investment decisions, and collaborate with finance teams to track profitability, mitigate financial risks, and optimize pricing strategies. Monitor product revenue performance, analyze pipeline trends, and leverage data-driven insights to refine monetization models and drive sustainable growth. 25%
  • Set strategy: Collaborate with the Product VP and senior leaders to develop product strategies aligned with financial goals. Support the conceptualization and execution of strategic initiatives, including new capability development, partner programs, and portfolio enhancements. Provide thought leadership by anticipating industry trends and client needs, incorporating insights from Sales, clients, and other key stakeholders to drive product innovation. 15%
  • Deliver products to market: For product features, betas, or other releases, lead support functions through the entire go-to-market process, ensuring operational alignment and documentation, pricing strategy, marketing collateral and positioning, financial model, and Sales training. Serve as an ambassador for the product to internal and external audiences. 15%
  • Evaluate ideas: Evaluate product ideas within established processes to ensure the development of differentiated solutions that meet customer demand and align with business feasibility. Assess new opportunities through a strategic lens while ensuring compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and data security requirements. Partner with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. 10%
  • Create and communicate roadmaps: Support the quarterly product roadmap planning process to define features and projects to be completed each quarter, working within capacity constraints. 5%
  • Prioritize features: Maintain or improve product efficacy and business process efficiency by consulting with and providing input to the Product Owner. 5%

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required). Master's Degree (Preferred). In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Experience

8+ years of prior leadership and management experience acquired within or outside the company required. In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with industry-related issues. Knowledge of workflow and business relationships for all functional areas within the company. Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI tools and Microsoft Office software required. Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day product work required; candidates should be able to speak to specific tools used and outcomes achieved.

  • AI fluency: Actively uses AI tools to accelerate product work. Comfort operating in fast-moving, AI-enabled workflows is required.

  • Leadership skills: Ability to lead execution of projects and initiatives impacting various functional areas, and to effectively influence others on critical, complex, or sensitive information.
  • Problem solving skills: Able to solve complex problems that have a broad impact within or outside the department.
  • Strategic thinking skills: Ability to understand the business's long-term goals and align product opportunities, with an in-depth understanding of the impact of decisions on the overall organization.

Decision Making

Requires broad conceptual judgment and ability to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated. Owns interpreting business strategy and translating it into tactical departmental strategies and plans. Manages complex projects across multiple functions that have a significant impact on the company. Makes decisions that influence efficiencies and impact product Profit and Loss.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $165,000-$185,000

Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program
