Modulr enables businesses, from SMBs to Enterprise, to grow their revenue, drive efficiencies and deliver fantastic customer experiences, by embedding payments into their products and operating systems.  We do this by providing products and services which allow our clients to efficiently collect, reconcile and disburse funds instantly via a range of payment schemes, accounts, and card products, fully controllable via API.

What You’ll Do

The Product Director will build, develop and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Designers, with accountability for the development, delivery and performance of our suite of products aimed at SMB, Corporate and Enterprise customers.

Your product portfolio will include:

  • AP and payroll automation, supplier payments, expense management, collectionsand specialist travel payment product lines
  • Web-based portals for a diverse user base ranging from partners manging millions of customer accounts, treasures, financial controllers, payment ops through to independent Accountancy Practices and small business owners.
  • Mobile app providing access toaccount and expense management.
  • Public API and associated developer experience (guides, documentation & sandbox)
  • Maintaining and developing 3rd party integrations into channel partners in accounting, payroll and travel inventory eco-systems

Your role will involve:

  • Working closely with the Chief Product Officer and other product leaders, co-author Modulr’s product strategy and roadmap, taking ownership of the delivery and ongoing success of your product portfolio.
  • Effectively partner across the organisation with senior managers in technology, commercial, ops, risk and compliance to synchronise efforts towards attainment of revenue and product goals.
  • Operate and contribute as an active member of the product leadership team, embodying and championing Modulr values and driving effective cross-functional collaboration across the business.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and development for your team to execute high-quality deliverables including setting goals and objectives for your products and lead your team to execute against them.
  • Accountability for the delivery of the portfolio roadmap:
  • Ensuring scalable ways of working with our engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace.
  • End-to-end delivery of products, ensuring all implications on teams across the business are understood and managed ahead of go-live and products are effectively launched to market.
  • Ensuring internal documentation and functional product collateral is created and maintained.
  • Strategically manage the ecosystem, cultivating high-level partnerships and supplier relationships that enhance our product capabilities.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making, embedding rigorous KPIs and exploring AI-driven innovation to optimise product performance and customer value.

Who You Are

  • Seasoned product executive, with proven track-record of delivering results by leading high performing product teams in a fast-moving businesses where complexity is the norm.
  • Excellent command of product management discipline possessing deep expertise in technical product development, API ecosystems, and sophisticated UX design for B2B products.
  • Ability to support teams in day-to-day execution whilst maintaining a long term (2 year+) strategy for a portfolio with multiple product lines.
  • Commercially minded; experienced with pricing, positioning and B2B go-to-market
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment; able to balance speed with operational, security and compliance requirements. Financial services experience is preferred.
  • Proven people leader including hiring, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement and relationship skills across C-level customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Operates with high autonomy, combining meticulous attention to detail, deep analysis with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • A curious mindset and drive to explore how AI can make a real difference.
