What you will do:

We are looking for a senior leader with demonstrated success creating innovative solutions to join ACV Auctions as a Director of Product. As a Director of Product, you will be responsible for the product vision and continued growth and expansion of our offerings as well as managing a team of product and design talent. We’re looking for a unique individual who can be the champion for our company, products and the customers we obsess over daily. This role requires proven understanding of building great product teams and impactful products that can meet our rapidly evolving business needs.

• Own execution & delivery of features & products
• Own Release Marketing
• Creation and Presentation of Plans and Impacts
• Create and Maintain Competitive Analysis for your Product
• Own Build, Buy, Partner Analysis
• Own the Vision for your Product Area
• Own the 6-month and 18-month roadmaps for your Product Area
• Own Prioritization Framework for your Product Area
• Create Functional User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
• Lead Agile Ceremonies
• Define Product Lifecycle for your Product Area
• Collaborate with Design, Analysts and Engineering to Plan Development Schedule
• Lead discussions with Technology and Executive Leadership to inform, gain consensus and problem solve
• Develop industry recognition and credibility as a thought leader
• Continuously engage partners and potential partners to look for opportunities to expand our business or make us more efficient and allow us to bring capabilities to market faster
• Manage, Coach and Develop a team of PMs and Analysts
• Delegate responsibilities to your team
• Perform additional duties as assigned
What you will need:
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Proven track record leading product for a portfolio or business area, with responsibility for both strategy and delivery
• Experience building, hiring, and growing product management teams — ideally including establishing or scaling a product practice in a new location or development center
• Experience with CRM, sales, service, or customer-operations products, or comparable
enterprise/workflow domains
• Fluency with AI-native product workflows, including rapid prototyping
• Business and financial acumen, including building business cases and financial models to present to executives
• Excellent communication and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across geographies
• Strong customer focus and sound product judgment
• Based in, or willing to be based in, Chennai, India
• Nice to have
• Experience working across US and India teams in a global product organization
• Experience with arbitration, dispute-resolution, claims, warranty, or assurance/guarantee products
• Automotive or marketplace industry experience
• Experience building platform or API products that other teams build on
• Technical depth, such as prior software engineering experience, fluency querying data with SQL, and comfort reading and reasoning about code
