Our award-winning client is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their team.Our client, a well-established paper manufacturer in Wausau, WI, is seeking a talented Product Development Engineer to join their corporate engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product development and papermaking operations, solving complex problems and driving the development of innovative new products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with product development and papermaking teams to identify and address technical challenges.
• Develop and implement new product concepts and processes.
• Conduct research and analysis to support product development initiatives.
• Optimize existing product formulations and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate product performance and quality attributes.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the paper, tissue, or cardboard (packaging) industries.
• Proven hands-on experience in a papermaking environment.
• Strong understanding of paper coatings and their application processes.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Product development experience (preferred).
