We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our product development and design team. You will support the innovation and delivery of microfluidic devices within contract design and development programs and partnerships. You will apply your engineering expertise to deliver technical outcomes that miniaturize point-of-care, drug-delivery, bio-reactor, and integrated biosensor workflows into microfluidic consumables. You will contribute to project success, work directly with our global clients, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your Contribution

  • Support design and development of microfluidic devices and polymer-based consumables
  • Convert concepts into 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) using DFM/DFA and tolerance principles
  • Apply basic fluidic, mechanical, and system design fundamentals
  • Assist with test planning, execution, and data analysis to guide design decisions
  • Participate in root cause analysis and propose technical solutions
  • Execute engineering tasks for contract-scoped development projects on time and to quality standards
  • Support project planning, task tracking, and risk escalation
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years post-graduate industry experience in product development, ideally in biotechnology, medical devices, or microfluidics
  • Experience with structured product development methodologies (waterfall and/or agile)
  • Project management experience including planning, scheduling, and risk management
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other regulated quality management systems
  • Proactive, quality-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and time-management skills
