The Whitetail Institute has been the leader in deer nutrition since 1988, developing industry-leading food plot seed, mineral/vitamin supplements, and attractants for deer. Our Next Level Consulting (NLC) division provides expert land and habitat management services to landowners across the country.

We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Wildlife Biologist to join our NLC team in a unique hybrid role. This position blends hands-on wildlife consulting and habitat management with sales support, customer education, and marketing collaboration. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable conducting a field habitat assessment and presenting WTI products at a consumer show.

Job Responsibilities

Wildlife Consulting & Field Work

  • Develop comprehensive land and wildlife management plans for client properties.
  • Conduct on-site property visits, habitat assessments, and camera surveys.
  • Build and interpret satellite/GPS maps to support habitat planning.
  • Travel to client properties to deliver consulting services.
  • Book, staff, and represent Whitetail Institute at consumer shows and educational events.

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Provide technical expertise and proactive support for WTI product sales and marketing efforts.
  • Assist in creating educational and promotional video content.
  • Collaborate with WTI agronomists on scientifically credible marketing materials.
  • Contribute to website improvements and digital marketing assets.
  • Build proactive, effective relationships with industry partners and universities.

Customer Relations & Administration

  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with NLC consulting clients.
  • Manage client administrative tasks including payments, reports, and scheduling.

Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients seeking habitat and wildlife guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Wildlife Biology, Forestry, or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in land and/or wildlife management planning.
  • At least 1 year of sales or customer-facing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and satellite/GPS mapping tools.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for client visits and industry events.
  • Knowledge of Whitetail Institute products a plus.
