Work closely with internal teams to support research, development, and validation of new products, technologies, and internal platforms. This role focuses on early‑stage development activities including concept exploration, prototyping, technical evaluation, and internal testing. Collaboration will include working with engineers, designers, product managers, and subject‑matter experts to translate business or technical needs into viable product candidates. Work is primarily internal and development‑focused.

Key Activities May Include:

  • Supporting product and technology development initiatives from concept through validation
  • Interpreting high‑level requirements, product concepts, and technical narratives to develop prototypes and proof‑of‑concept solutions
  • Developing and evaluating software, control concepts, architectures, or internal platforms in support of future products
  • Conducting internal reviews, demonstrations, and technical evaluations of development efforts
  • Documenting findings, design approaches, and recommendations for product leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to mature concepts into product candidates

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders are required. Applicant must possess willingness to accept responsibility and work as necessary to meet development schedules and commitments.

Education / Experience:

  • 12+ years of relevant controls, automation, or technology development experience

Responsibilities:

  • Support internal research and product development initiatives
  • Develop prototypes, proof‑of‑concepts, and internal platforms aligned to emerging product strategies
  • Evaluate technologies and approaches for potential application in Mesa products
  • Assist as needed to support internal strategy, business development, or technical evaluation efforts
  • Provide technical input and documentation to support productization and future roadmap decisions
