JOB TITLE: Product Designer(UX/UI)

WORKING PATTERN Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you’ll be doing
This role is within a team of designers, researchers, contentspecialistsand data analysts, working together to design and deliver high quality, user-centred mobileand agenticexperiences. This is a mobile first project, with some responsibility for supporting web & browser journeys.
As aProductDesigner,it’llbe your role to:
Deliver high quality visual and interaction design across mobileand browser interfaces
Skilfully craft the end-to-end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by stepthrough wireframing, journey mapping, prototyping, and delivery-ready screens
Balance business requirements with user needs –you'llwork with user researchers to gather evidence & rationale to align stakeholders on individual user needs.
Bring designs to life atdifferent levelsof fidelity through prototyping software (primarily Figma)
Work within an established central design system,creatively using components to figure out the right balance of content and UI (User Interface) elements on screen
Deliverfinaliseddesigns on Figmaannotated andreadyfor development,and work closely with developers and engineers to build and launch experiences live in the app
Continually iterate & improve designs and experiences based on regular performance data and feedback from customers using the app
Advocate customer inclusion – what it means to make an inclusive and accessible design to be used by customers of a wide range of ages,backgroundsand technical abilities

What we’re looking for?
We’relooking for someone who can work collaboratively alongside a full product, design & engineering team and take ownership of their design output.They’llbecomfortablepresenting their work to stakeholders, and able to adapt designs to reflect their feedback andoutputsfrom user research and usability testing.
Demonstrable experienceacross bothUser Experience (UX) and Visual Design
Provendigitaldesign experience(preferably mobile appdesign experience)
StrongFigma skills
Excellent prototyping skillsfor digital experiencesin both low and high fidelity,whichcan be understood clearly byinternal customers and development teams
Comfortable using existing design systems, recommending new ways to improvethem tobenefitthe end user experience.
Ability to interpretdata and insights fromquantitative and qualitative research, and how this informs the design process
Familiarity working in a complex landscape –priorexperience in financial servicesbeneficial but not essential.
A collaborative mindset to work closely and quickly with a multi-disciplinary team
Proficientseeingdesigns through to delivery – communicating with developers to ensure designs meet specifications and can be used by a broad range of users of all backgrounds,agesand abilities
