Job Description

Brief info about Vinted

Our mission is to make second-hand the first choice, and we're looking for people who want to help us get there. Every day, we work together to help our members buy and sell pre-loved clothing and lifestyle items, giving each piece a second life – or even a third.
The Vinted Group is made up of three business units that support this mission:

Vinted Marketplace is Europe’s leading platform for second-hand fashion and a go-to destination for all kinds of pre-loved items, with a growing range of categories. Our platform connects millions of members across 20+ markets, helping great items find a new life.

Vinted Go enhances the shipping experience with a vast network of over 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points, partnering with more than 60 carriers across Europe, with added services like item verification for peace of mind on high-value pieces.

Vinted Pay is the newest part of the Vinted Group, dedicated to bringing secure, reliable payments to buyers and sellers across Europe. Seamlessly integrated into the Vinted app, it helps keep every transaction safe, efficient, and easy for our members.

Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people. Our backers include Accel, EQT Growth, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sprints, and TPG.

Information about the position

We see design as a key part of achieving our mission. As a Product Designer, you’ll work cross-functionally to identify and create solutions that meet our members’ needs and help make second-hand the first choice. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about crafting thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences and delivering reliable design solutions that bring meaningful value to members across markets.

You are an established Product Designer with a proven track record of driving projects from inception to high-impact solutions. You are trusted to own the design for your feature area with minimal oversight, skillfully breaking down undefined problems into clear, high-quality experiences. You are ready to scale your impact by mentoring peers and contributing to the health of the broader design community. In this role, you’ll take ownership of solving design problems and contribute to short and long-term strategy, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and analysts to bring ideas to life.

You’ll join our Security domain, where the mission is to protect our marketplace from bad actors without compromising the member experience. It’s a delicate balancing act: we need to stop fraud firmly while striving for "invisible" security. You’ll be tasked with designing moments of intervention that feel necessary and transparent to ensure second-hand shopping remains safe for everyone.

In this position, you’ll

  • Design thoughtful, high-quality experiences that help make our marketplace better for millions of members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define problems, explore solutions, prototype interactions, and deliver impactful designs.
  • Champion our members’ needs, ensuring clarity and transparency in every interaction.
  • Take ownership of design planning and execution for team initiatives, from concept to launch.
  • Seek and exchange feedback with design peers to strengthen your work and enhance overall quality.
  • Conduct usability testing to validate design ideas and partner with User Researchers on discovery studies to deeply understand member needs.
  • Work within the Security domain and report to the Product Design Director.

About you

  • Proven experience designing and shipping mobile native apps and other high-quality digital products.
  • Solid understanding of the design process, from discovery to delivery.
  • Critical thinker, able to design with qualitative and quantitative insights while balancing constraints.
  • Comfortable iterating and experimenting to continuously improve solutions and outcomes.
  • Growth mindset, open to feedback, eager to learn, and motivated to keep improving your craft.
  • Strong collaborator, able to align cross-functional partners around a shared understanding of the problem and solution.
  • Experience using data to inform design decisions, design A/B testing, and iterate on product features.
  • You are able to articulate design decisions and advocate for user needs. To support this, excellent written and verbal English skills are required.
  • A mandatory portfolio that showcases your strategic impact and complex problem solving - applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • Bonus if you have a background in Trust & Safety, Fraud, or Cybersecurity. You’ve previously designed features to combat bad actors and understand the nuances of risk-based friction, identity verification, and building platform integrity.
