At Siemens, we help organizations transform maintenance and operations through connected insights, AI-powered technology, and intelligent asset management solutions. Our software enables customers to manage the full lifecycle of assets, facilities, and infrastructure while improving efficiency, reducing risk, and optimizing long-term investments. By connecting data, people, and processes, we empower organizations to make smarter decisions, maximize asset performance, and achieve more resilient operations.

As a Product Designer III at Siemens, you’re a highly capable designer who operates independently, elevates those around you, and shapes the design direction of your product area. You’ll lead complex design challenges, set quality standards, and connect design decisions to user outcomes and business strategy. You are a trusted partner to product and engineering leadership and a go-to resource for your design team. This role suits designers with 4–7 years of professional experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design for complex product areas and cross-functional features, from discovery through delivery.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing, heuristic reviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing to validate design decisions.
  • Set and maintain high design standards through peer reviews and consistent quality practices.
  • Proactively identify UX gaps, edge cases, and workflow issues before development.
  • Represent design in roadmap discussions, bringing user insights and design rationale into prioritization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and design sprints with product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Apply and evolve the design system by creating and documenting new components and patterns.
  • Mentor Product Designer I and II colleagues through feedback and collaboration.
  • Champion accessibility throughout the design process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of progressive product design experience, with strong ownership of complex projects.
  • Expert Figma skills, including components, auto-layout, and design tokens.
  • Strong evaluative research skills, including usability testing, heuristic reviews, and prototype testing.
  • Deep knowledge of WCAG accessibility and experience contributing to or governing design systems at scale.
  • Ability to influence product roadmaps through design insights and user evidence.
  • Portfolio demonstrating complex, multi-screen products, strong craft, and strategic impact.
  • Nice to have: experience with AI-powered features, enterprise/industrial/OT products, data-rich interfaces, dashboards, analytics, or real-time monitoring.
