Why Grasp

Grasp is an agentic AI platform for finance. The $1.4 trillion financial advisory industry relies heavily on costly and scarce cognitive labor. We conduct complex company and market research workflows end-to-end, tasks typically done manually. AI is bound to transform how the industry operates, and Grasp is the platform leading that shift in how companies find and assess M&A opportunities.

Grasp already counts ~300 of the world's largest financial institutions among its customers, including all of the Big Four and some of Europe's leading private equity firms. We have strong product-market fit, as proven by our 4x per year growth, and are now accelerating our distribution efforts beyond Europe. Role

Our users build lists of thousands of companies, send agents out to research them, screen them down to a shortlist, and carry the result into their deal flow. On screen that means dense tables, agents that run for minutes, a chat interface which needs to be able to back up where every number came from, and a lot of information competing for attention at once. Power users spend hours on end every week in the platform, often under time pressure. The experience needs to feel fast, simple, and trustworthy, which is a real design problem.

We already have a coded component library and an engineering team that ships quickly with coding agents. What we don't have is the layer above it: an information architecture that holds as the product grows, a visual language that is unmistakably ours, and a system good enough that an engineer with a coding agent produces a delightful experience that is on-brand without a designer in the room.

Expect roughly 70% of your first six months to go into design system, information architecture, visual language, and brand, and the balance to shift toward feature design once the foundation holds. You'll be our second designer and own the system, IA, and visual language whereas our current designer owns flows and features.

Product sets product direction. Design owns the experience. Engineering owns implementation and performance. Dedicated specialists called “Finance AI specialist” own the quality of data and agent workflows. We ship fast, collaborate closely but also expect everyone to contribute with their unique craft and ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the information architecture of the product, and keeping it coherent as we add surfaces
• Taking our design system from functional to distinct, in Figma and / or in the shadcn library such that coding agents produce on-brand UI by default, through components, tokens, patterns, and the rules our engineers build against
• Setting the visual language for Grasp and holding the bar on what ships
• Extending the brand consistently across product, website, and sales material
• Independently spotting new opportunities for better experiences and how the product can deliver more value to users
• Doing deep research and discovery on customers' needs and preferences to inform workflow and feature design

Skills and requirements

We're considering candidates at Mid, Senior and Staff level and will calibrate on demonstrated scope and craft.

For this role you should:

• Have a proven track record of delivering impact from spotting opportunities to finished product
• Be exceptional at visual craft, with a point of view on typography, density, motion, and brand
• Have owned the information architecture of a product that grew, not just the screens inside it
• Have built or substantially evolved a design system that engineers used daily
• Prototype beyond static Figma files, in code or with AI tools, and demonstrate curiosity and agency with AI tooling and methods
• Be able to set direction on your own, without a design organisation behind you
