About the role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the Digitally Nurture & Guide Squad within Digital Growth Engine Crew. This role will focus on native and AI experiences in the mobile App that nurture, guide and reassure customers as they navigate the journey from dream to doorstep.
You’ll be supported by an Experience Design Lead and work closely with the Product Lead and Engineers in your Squad and other Designers in the DGE Crew to discover opportunities and solutions and create great experiences that deliver measurable outcomes for customers and CommBank via the CommBank App.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design for mobile app and AI experiences across the home loan journey.
Shape experience strategy from customer exploration through to funding.
Drive continuous discovery of customer needs, pain points, and opportunities.
Partner with product, engineering, AI, data, risk, and lending teams.
Create journeys, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Design AI-powered guidance, automation, and personalisation experiences.
Validate solutions through prototyping, testing, and experimentation.
Support delivery from MVP to optimised, scalable experiences.
Use insights and data to improve conversion, completion, and confidence.
Champion accessibility, design quality, and customer-centred decisions.
What You’ll Bring
Clear communication, stakeholder influence, and design storytelling skills.
Strong end-to-end product design capability across mobile and digital journeys.
Experience leading discovery, research, prototyping, and solution validation.
Ability to shape experience strategy from customer needs and business goals.
Strong interaction design, journey mapping, and service design skills.
Confidence designing AI-enabled guidance, automation, and personalisation.
Ability to use data and insights to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
Strong collaboration with product, engineering, data, AI, and risk teams.
Experience delivering from MVP through to optimised, scalable experiences.
Strong accessibility, design system, and design quality practices.
Clear communication, stakeholder influence, and design storytelling skills.
