Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Designer in Brazil.
You will join a modern product team building cloud-based government software that helps municipalities across the United States improve public services such as permitting, inspections, reporting, and citizen-facing workflows. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product design process, working closely with product and engineering teams in an AI-native development environment. You will not only design interfaces but also actively shape product direction through research, experimentation, and continuous iteration. The environment is highly collaborative and low on handoffs, meaning you will participate in the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery. You will work in small, autonomous pods where design has strong product influence and ownership. This is a fast-paced, impact-driven role where your work directly improves real government operations and user experiences.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end product design activities, including research, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and final product specifications.
- Conduct customer research and user interviews to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate user insights into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in a no-handoff, high-ownership environment.
- Define and iterate product experiences using AI-powered design and prototyping tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and continuous product discovery cycles.
- Ensure product decisions are grounded in user outcomes, usability, and business impact.
- Work alongside cross-functional stakeholders to align on product direction and priorities.
- Contribute to shaping product strategy through data, user feedback, and experimentation.
- Maintain clarity in documentation and communication across technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Product Design, ideally with exposure to product management responsibilities.
- Strong ability to conduct and synthesize user research and customer interviews.
- Experience working in fast-paced, iterative product development environments.
- Fluency with AI-powered design and prototyping tools such as Lovable, Claude, Make, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to operate across the full product lifecycle, not just interface design.
- Strong product thinking focused on user outcomes and problem-solving rather than feature delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
- Ability to run and support agile sprints and product discovery cycles.
Nice to have:
- Experience in GovTech, B2B SaaS, or enterprise software for complex users.
- Background or familiarity with public sector systems or government operations.
- Experience working in AI-native product development environments.
Benefits:
- 100% remote work with flexibility across Latin America.
- Long-term engagement on impactful, real-world government technology products.
- Compensation in USD.
- Paid time off (PTO).
- English language lessons.
- Technical training and professional development support.
- Home office (WFH) budget.
- Career coaching and growth support.
- Exposure to AI-native product development workflows and modern tooling.
- Direct collaboration with experienced product and engineering teams in a high-ownership environment.
