Requirements
Experience
• 4 to 6 years of experience in product design, UX design, or design engineering
• Prior experience working at companies specializing in CAD, PLM, simulation, or engineering software (such as Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, PTC, ANSYS, Altair, or similar)
• Demonstrated experience designing desktop applications with a clear understanding of the distinct patterns and limitations of native app design compared to web design
• A strong portfolio showcasing full ownership of design projects from research to final product delivery
Skills
• In-depth knowledge of engineering workflows and the mental frameworks of mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, or designers
• Expertise in design tools, including Figma for UI/UX design, along with familiarity with prototyping tools
• Experience in creating and maintaining design systems and scalable component libraries
• Excellent visual design abilities, with keen attention to typography, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy
• Effective communication skills to clearly articulate design choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
