The design engineer is the responsible for perform design and estimations of higher difficult degree.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support within ENG team for all activities related with design, manufacturing, problem solving and risk management.
  • Assure quality since design point of view through DRBFM methodology and understand cause and effect relationship of risks.
  • Review, optimize and theory confirmation of design, analysis of finits elements.
  • Generate RPP ideas through brainstorming.
  • Support for analysis and risk evaluation of product. Assure the correct decision or direction to proceed.
  • Active contribution in DFMEA development in order to assure customer requirements.
  • Collaborate in problem solving with manufacturing and in team where is needed.

Specific Tasks:

  • Create 2D drawings and 3D modeling. Including customer and internal drawings.
  • Tolerance analysis, stack up evaluation and GD&T.
  • Apply design tools to optimize design concepts. (Example: DRBFM, O-Ring calculations, etc.).
  • Create BOM for new releases*
  • Support for customer quote phase through technical information for initial costing
