Job Description

Join a leading electrical wholesaler driving Australia’s renewable future

Be part of high performing team with a great team culture

Innovative and stable company, investing in a better future

If you’re energised by data, passionate about operational excellence, and excited to support the fast‑growing Renewables & EV sector, this role puts you right at the centre of the action.

We’re a major national electrical wholesaler expanding our footprint in the renewable energy space — and we’re looking for a highly capable Renewables Product & Demand Planning Manager to support our Renewables & EV division and help shape the future of our supply chain performance.

This is a multifaceted position that blends customer service, purchasing, analytics, and operational support. You’ll be the trusted “go‑to” person for the Renewables & EV team, ensuring our inventory, freight, and distribution operations run smoothly and efficiently across the country.

Your insights will directly influence organisational effectiveness, stock availability, DIFOT performance, and the overall success of our renewable product portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead & Support: Provide high‑level operational support to the Renewables & EV lead, as well as DC and regional teams.
  • Customer & Supplier Coordination: Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate updates and maximising DIFOT performance.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse inventory, freight, operational and service provider performance, reporting against SLAs and business expectations.
  • Purchasing & Operational Execution: Manage purchasing tasks, resolve enquiries promptly, and transact accurately within Pronto, MyFreight, and other ERP systems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement value‑adding initiatives across inventory, purchasing, safety, and operational workflows to enhance DC performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in purchasing, data analysis, or similar roles within a multi‑team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and database capability; strong MS Office skills; experience with ERP systems (Pronto highly regarded).
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of 3PL, freight forwarding, inventory management, and distribution operations.
  • Workflow & Administration: Proven experience in administration, data entry workflow design, and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Languages: Mandarin language skills are essential for this role.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

What success looks like in your first 12 months

  • You have established reliable demand and inventory planning rhythms for key renewable and EV product categories, resulting in improved stock availability and reduced excess and obsolete stock.
  • DIFOT and key service metrics for the Renewables & EV portfolio have improved, with clear reporting and communication in place for the DC and regional teams.
  • You have developed strong relationships with our key suppliers — including Mandarin-speaking suppliers — enabling faster issue resolution, better collaboration, and more accurate forward planning.
  • You have identified and implemented several process improvements across purchasing, freight, and inventory workflows that deliver measurable efficiency, accuracy, or customer service benefits.
