Job Description

The Product Delivery & Process Excellence Manager is a pivotal role within the Software, Hardware and Power Systems programme, responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining framework which helps tracking and delivering complex projects. This role acts as a single point of contact within NPD and across Software, Hardware and Power System to ensure excellence, quality, robust project delivery with data driven approach.

Description

Reporting into the Programme Management function, you will lead and drive excellence and automation across projects delivery, working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. You will be responsible for defining the tools, process, metrics, KPIs and dashboards which reflect the live status of the project if objectives are met on time, on spec and on quality. You are also expected to lead, execute and delivery projects as a Technical Project Manager.

Accountabilities

• Lead the definition, deployment, governance, and continuous improvement of Software and Hardware Excellence practices across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making through live dashboards, engineering metrics, quality indicators, and program health reporting for both software and hardware development programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely project KPI reporting, providing a clear and transparent view of project health, risks, and performance.
• Champion the adoption of product development processes, engineering best practices, and delivery discipline across project teams.
• Independently lead and deliver complex projects within the Software, Hardware, and Product Solutions (SWHW&PS) domain, balancing technical, schedule, scope, quality, and resource constraints.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear, effective, and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Tools and engineering teams to ensure process, dashboards, tools and methodologies are aligned
• Govern resource allocation, process, quality, delivery and including financial governance and alignment with business priorities.
• Develop, maintain, and drive execution of Level 0-2 project plans, proactively managing dependencies, prioritizing activities, and escalating unresolved issues when required.
• Ensure project readiness and compliance with all applicable safety, security, regulatory, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Proactively identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, ensuring effective risk management, mitigation planning, and end-to-end requirements traceability.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to achieve project objectives and deliver successful business outcomes.
• Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior project managers and team members, fostering growth and capability building.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance across the project team.
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to improve project execution, delivery efficiency, and organizational capability.

Skills

• First Degree (Engineering preferable) or equivalent.
• Quality and process champion in Automotive/IOT/Consumer domain
• Product development - Software or Hardware is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, project governance, software quality, and engineering best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, requirements management, CI/CD, and engineering design tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, test automation, and engineering toolchains.
• Experience developing automated dashboards and leveraging data analytics to drive project decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver complex engineering tasks or projects.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Hardware and Software product development within the IoT, Consumer Electronics, or Automotive industries.
• Experience working with global teams and external partners in a fast-paced, matrixed organization is highly desirable.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum programs and driving large-scale engineering delivery across cross-functional teams.
• Experience establishing software governance, quality processes, engineering excellence initiatives, and organizational transformation programs.
• Proven track record in deploying automated project health dashboards, engineering metrics, and executive-level reporting solutions.
• Experience working with CI/CD toolchains, test automation platforms, requirements management systems, and development lifecycle tools.
• Strong experience in quality engineering, process improvement, and continuous integration/continuous deployment environments.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge engineering, quality, tooling, and project delivery functions to improve execution efficiency and delivery predictability.
