As a Decision Architect in the Consumer & Community Banking Card Acquisitions Product team, you are an integral part of the team that implements business strategies on rules engine. As a core leader, you are responsible for building the rules framework which enables scalability, reusability, strong governance, and high-quality standards of business rules. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a rules engine off the ground, you guide the successful launch of new strategies, migration of existing strategies, gather feedback from strategy team through the journey and ensure top-tier business user experience. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business rules that are nimble and require minimum engagement from IT team for managing changes.

Job responsibilities

  • Set patterns for Sapiens Decision solution being delivered for all business strategies.
  • Lead the architectural coordination with the technology and product team to ensure alignment with business team’s vision for implementation and maintenance of strategies.
  • Analyze the existing strategies and recommend new patterns for migration into Sapiens Decision that allow ease of maintenance of rules.
  • Perform GAP analysis for Rules migration from legacy rules engine to Sapiens Decision.
  • Set standards and process for documentation, governance and approval workflow of rules & fact types within Sapiens Decision.
  • Review functional specs and work with Product analyst to minimize gaps, design alternate solutions and set solution boundaries.
  • Verify that architecture and design of the different Sapiens decision models and integration with the technology platform are consistent.
  • Build a standard process where as a part of discovery, business process model are created with metadata that allows business users to understand the data used by rules and end to end flow of the business processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years’ hands-on experience with Business Rules engine
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sapiens decision.
  • Strong background in Functional and Technical aspects of the solution.
  • Good knowledge of business processes and experience in automating manual processes using rules engine.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to match between functional requirements and application system options/functionalities in an efficient way.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Representative and Collaborative.
  • Experience in managing Sapiens Rules writer and partnering with the vendor teams.
  • Experience in stakeholder management
