Purpose of the job
This role is responsible for managing and governing product design data within SAP PLM/PDM environments by supporting and optimising integrated engineering systems, including CAD, ECTR, DMS, BOMs, and master data processes, to ensure accurate, controlled, and efficient product lifecycle data management between Engineering and Operations.

Key responsibilities
Establish and maintain product data baselines and lifecycle records (including obsolescence) across PLM/PDM and SAP environments to support product development, build, and ensure data integrity, traceability, and timely product delivery
Provide and coordinate system user support and issue resolution across multi-disciplinary teams using SAP, CAD, and related systems to address system queries and incidents, ensuring minimal operational disruption and sustained business continuity
Deliver and facilitate system training (SAP, ECTR, CAD, and interfacing tools) to new and existing users across functions to improve system adoption and effective utilisation, ensuring consistent user capability and operational efficiency.
Ensure and govern data classification, quality, and compliance within SAP/PLM systems in line with organisational, regulatory, and audit requirements (e.g. EN9100, FAI, FCA, PCA) to maintain audit readiness and data accuracy, ensuring full compliance, traceability, and risk mitigation
Create and manage material master data and component codification (including NATO & H6 standards and COTS materials) to support design, engineering, and production requirements, ensuring accurate product definition, configuration control, and readiness for manufacturing and final product build.
Analyse and enhance PLM/PDM and SAP system processes and functionalities in collaboration with cross-functional teams and configuration/development stakeholders to align with business requirements and system architecture, ensuring continuous improvement, optimised processes, and effective lifecycle support.
