The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Product Data Management Specialist (Level 1) to join our Document Report Release (DRR) team! This position is located in Huntsville, AL We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team member with strong organizational skills in a critical role for the company.

The Product Data Management Specialist role involves regularly working and interacting with various program teams and supporting all Boeing products across the enterprise to release, distribute, store, and retrieve Boeing documents.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, review, validation and release of documents and contract deliverables in support of various program teams
  • Performing non-technical checks of engineering and other data to verify that the data meets procedural and system requirements
  • Investigating and reconciling data discrepancies by coordinating with affected organizations
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met. Identifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability
  • Management and configuration control of program data utilizing enterprise-wide database systems and other tools
  • Creates metadata records for engineering documents and reports
  • Maintains and distributes engineering documents and reports to enable business activity
  • Issue document numbers for internal Boeing documents and reports
  • Maintain configuration control over issued document numbers
  • Collects information to develop data management metrics for providing visibility of performance
  • Tracks and reports data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supports audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements
  • Active participant in process improvement projects
  • Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start)
  • Experience in metadata management and/or data management
  • Experience in a role that required strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary
  • Good communication and cross-group collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 0 years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of directly related work experience OR 8+ years of related, relevant experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • 1+ years of experience using or applying Metrics to measure performance against production/project to ensure high quality delivery
  • Knowledge of US Export Regulations
  • Experience with open-source integrated library systems (i.e. KOHA, etc.)
  • Active Secret Clearance

Travel: Some travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Pay Range: $59,500 - $80,500

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
