Could you be the full-time Product Costing Engineer in Paris Area (St Ouen) or Valenciennes (North of France) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your cost analysis and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a dynamic and collaborative team of professionals.
You'll play a pivotal role in estimating the technical cost of parts and assemblies, supporting the Engineering team in adopting a Design-to-Cost approach, and contributing to the creation of target costs for tenders and projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Sourcing, and Industrialization teams), build and use cost models, analyze cost drivers, and propose design improvements to reduce costs.
You’ll specifically take care of providing cost breakdowns to the sourcing team, but also contribute to the development of costing tools and methodologies.
We’ll look to you for:
Developing and using costing tools to calculate technical costs (Should Cost / Could Cost)
Analyzing and detecting cost drivers of products
Proposing design improvements to reduce technical and industrial costs
Ensuring feasibility of products and verifying industrial processes
Providing cost breakdowns to sourcing teams and supporting technical business cases
Sharing feedback from suppliers and contributing to design rules and best practices

Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
Experience or understanding of costing methodologies (Should Cost / Could Cost)
Knowledge of industrial processes and their segmentation
Familiarity with railway industry norms, certifications, and quality gates (e.g., V-Cycle)
Understanding of Electrical Engineering design, architecture, and tools (e.g., CATIA, E3S, SEE ONE)
Knowledge of EMC, maintainability, safety, and product components (e.g., harnesses, connectors, relays)
Proficiency in MS Office tools
Fluent in English
Strong entrepreneurial mindset, collaboration skills, and adaptability
Dynamic, proactive, and capable of working autonomously
