You will work closely with trading partners and Finance stakeholders to deliver clear, timely insights. As a Product Control Analyst in Product Control, you will support trading desks and Finance partners by delivering accurate profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet reporting and executing month-end close activities with strong controls. You will investigate drivers of results, escalate issues clearly, and contribute to process and control enhancements.

Job responsibilities

  • Prepare daily P&L and balance sheet reporting for assigned products and trading desks
  • Produce, consolidate, and analyze daily, monthly, and annual P&L results and related metrics
  • Explain P&L movements through variance analysis and clear commentary for stakeholders
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, substantiation, and control checks
  • Partner with trading, business management, and Finance teams to deliver timely and accurate reporting
  • Coordinate with front office and back office support functions to resolve breaks and control issues
  • Identify control gaps and implement enhancements to strengthen the reporting and close process
  • Provide analytical and project support for new initiatives, process improvements, and change delivery
  • Manage ad hoc analysis requests with strong prioritization and attention to detail

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2 years of experience in product control, financial control, or a closely related finance role
  • Experience producing and explaining P&L and supporting month-end close processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial drivers clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and reviewing structured workbooks and analyses
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset and commitment to strong controls and continuous improvement

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong accounting knowledge, including understanding of key financial statement concepts
  • Experience supporting trading desks or markets-related products in a financial services environment
  • Experience improving controls, procedures, or reporting workflows through process enhancements
  • Experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups and working effectively in a team-oriented environment
