Product Area Lead – AI & Agentic Solutions | Onboarding & KYC
ING is looking for a Product Area Lead to help shape and deliver AI and Agentic products. This role sits at the heart of one of the bank's most important areas: onboarding new clients and supporting client due diligence at global scale through advanced data, AI, and emerging agentic capabilities.
You will be part of Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics (WBAA), a team that develops and scales AI products across Wholesale Banking. This is a global role within an international environment where product, data, technology, compliance, and business teams work closely together to create meaningful impact.
Role Profile
We are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Product Area Lead with a passion for AI and product innovation. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and enjoy working with different teams to solve complex problems and create products that deliver value.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Onboarding & KYC AI product domain. You will work closely with Product Managers, AI engineers, data scientists, UX specialists, compliance experts, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI and Agentic solutions that support client onboarding and due diligence processes across Wholesale Banking.
You will support and develop a team of Product Managers and help multiple squads work towards shared goals and outcomes.
This role reports directly to the Tribe Lead Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics.
About the Department
Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics (WBAA) develops AI and Agentic products that create value for ING's Wholesale Banking clients and the bank itself.
With approximately 100 engineers, data scientists, UX designers, and product managers, WBAA combines a strong delivery track record with a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
What You Will Do
Shape the product vision and direction for the Onboarding & KYC AI domain.
Translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and user insights into clear priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
Partner with engineering, data, UX, and business teams to deliver impactful AI and Agentic solutions.
Coach and support Product Managers and help teams grow and succeed.
Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and product priorities.
Define success measures and track product outcomes.
Build strong relationships across Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Wholesale Banking.
Share knowledge and contribute to AI product best practices across ING.
How to Succeed at ING

The ideal candidate brings:
10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Delivery, or Product Leadership roles.
Experience managing Product Managers and supporting their growth, or extensive experience owning the delivery of complex products, platforms, or product portfolios.
Experience working with AI, Data, Analytics, or Digital products.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build alignment across a complex organisation.
Experience working with international and cross-functional teams.
Master's degree in a technical, analytical, or business-related field.
Experience in KYC, Financial Crime, Risk, or Analytics is a plus.
Experience with AI and Agentic solutions is a plus.
