Product Area Buyer (Castings) - MQT
The Product Area Buyer ( Castings) is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers of cast components. This role ensures cost competitiveness, quality, and reliable supply while supporting engineering and production requirements.
Specifically responsible for Divisional Segment Purchasing of Castings, in support of multiple Product Lines.
Works within a purchasing team to create a purchasing strategy for a segment of goods. Supports Product Area Manager & Global Lead Buyer. Evaluates vendor quotes, services, and savings, to determine the most desirable suppliers.
Works all aspects of vendor relationship management and lifecycle.
Supports divisional workshops & Zero-Defect Strategy with Supplier Quality.
Will gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function as it relates specifically to Raw Materials purchasing, new technology and manufacturing methods.
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 3 years of purchasing experience (Standard Components, Raw Material Trends, Engineering, Quality, Negotiation, etc)
Advanced English level (Must)
