ROLE PURPOSE

• The Product and Sourcing Assistant will proactively co-ordinate and manage the administrative requirements relating to sourcing, ordering and delivering products for projects within the Product Delivery team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

• Product sourcing - create clear and accurate product sourcing briefs that can be sent to Vendors for sourcing products that meet the briefing specification.
• Vendor negotiation – validate quotes to ensure that the products meet specification requirements and pricing is accurate. Negotiate improved pricing or specifications with vendors.
• Product recommendations – Present to the Product Delivery team the outcomes from sourcing and vendor negotiation on suggested vendors and products to proceed with. Articulate risks and any associated issues to the Project manager.
• Benchmarking – conduct benchmarking and research of consumer electric, electrical and related products through online retail websites and other online means with ability to present findings in a structured and clearly articulated manner to stakeholders.
• Retail price review - Conduct pricing alignment review by comparing product pricing on company websites with customer-facing platforms to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Project administration – Assist the Project Managers within the Product Delivery Team with administration on projects that deliver new products to the business.
• Any other tasks as required or directed within the scope of the role.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Language – Strong verbal and written skills in English is mandatory.
• Computer skills – ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with project management or project collaboration software (Crest software includes www.monday.com)
• International experience – Experience in sourcing products preferably within consumer electronics.
• Personal leadership – Personal awareness, presence, confidence, influence and organisation to deliver effectively and efficiently on assigned projects as well as represent the company appropriately.
• Matrix management - Ability to have multiple dotted reporting lines to different project managers as allocated by project. Ability to be self-directed and work out priorities with ambiguity or competing priorities that may arise from reporting to multiple category managers on projects.
• Collaboration – Ability to influence outcomes through excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills both verbal and written.
• Dealing with ambiguity – Ability to seek clarity from complex or ambiguous requirements with a flexible approach to changing situations and priorities.
• Planning and coordination capabilities – Ability to plan, coordinate and manage the execution of allocated deliverables within projects and plans to consistently deliver on our customer pledge.
• Detail – strong attention to detail with ability to methodically ensure all aspect of complex plans are methodically and accurately executed.
