Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Product and Service Quality Manager (Level K) to support the 737 Quality Delivery team onsite in Renton, Washington

The 737 Delivery Team is seeking a First-Line Quality Manager to lead and support the collection and management of the Aircraft Readiness Log (ARL) in support of aircraft delivery requirements. This role provides day-to-day leadership to a team of Quality Inspectors responsible for validating and capturing life-limited part and serial number data. Accurate collection of this information is a critical delivery requirement and is provided with the aircraft at delivery along with other required records.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience working with managing product definition data requirements, processes, or product data

  • 3+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings

  • 3+ years of experience with root cause corrective analysis

  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management System (QMS)

  • 1+ years of experience in Material Review Board processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • 3+ years of experience working on the 737 Program

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems

  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Pay Range: $119,850 - $162,150
