Purpose of the role
To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develops the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.

About the Business Banking Product Team
The Business Banking Product team is responsible for developing and managing products and propositions that meet customer needs while delivering commercial value for the bank. Working across Product, Technology, Data, Risk and Operations, the team drives product innovation, improves customer journeys and uses data and emerging technologies, including AI, to shape future growth.
To be successful as a Product and Propositions Manager, you must have the following essential skills
Commercial Acumen - Considerable understanding of P&L and unit economics; business case writing by sizing an opportunity and investment for commercial decision-making; competitive and ecosystem awareness; customer and segment insight.
Product Data & Analytics - Value proposition construction from launch to management and retirement; ability to translate customer, operational and commercial data into actionable insights and product improvements; understanding Consumer Duty and FCA product governance; data-driven governance and evidencing customer outcomes and product performance.
AI Literacy and Delivery - Ability to identify and apply AI opportunities to improve customer outcomes, colleague productivity and business performance; agile delivery, working effectively with engineering; technical fluency with APIs, core banking and third-party integrations.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in our London 1CP office.
