Consumer Finance (Credit Cards and Personal Loans) are responsible for, and oversee, all product management and pricing decisions across Bankwest and are custodians of our brand. We use key customer insights to assist the design, build, and marketing of products that meet the needs of both our business and retail target customer segments. We are accountable for delivering and maintaining the Bankwest product portfolio ensuring we achieve sustainable growth, with products built around customer need. The team champions the customer experience, and consists of strong product delivery specialists, analytical & strategic capability, pricing leadership and product/process experts.

In this role you will provide analytical support, reporting and product insights for the Bankwest Credit Card and Personal Loan portfolio. Your analysis and insights will ensure targets for customer advocacy and business performance are achieved. This role contributes to Bankwest’s Vision and Strategy of Sustainable Growth. The role will also involve working with the products team on transformational projects focused on improving customer experience.

Our team is part of the larger Lending Team. We foster a very collaborative and supportive working culture. As the Products Analytics Manager, you will support digital initiatives of Credit Cards through taking ownership of data provision to ensure all our reporting, products insights, regulatory request and products data requests are delivered on a timely manner.

Working closely with the team, you will play a role in providing data to help formulate business strategy papers, analyzing credit card acquisition and portfolio performance, and working closely with technology team to ensure the data used is best in class.

This role is in based in Perth and will be reporting into a Senior Product Manager.

You’ll have opportunities to work across the following areas:

  • Data Request:Collect and analyse data related to business and regulatory performance.

  • Report Management:Production and optimisation of customer behaviour and product performance reporting.

  • Product management Understand the market, business and your stakeholders so you can identify opportunities and deliver outcomes that really matter to your customers.

  • Collaboration Work closely and provide insights to cross-functional teams, including analytics support on new product development, customer engagement and retention activities.

  • Strategic Insights Communicate findings from strategic analysis and insights to provide data-driven recommendations to your stakeholders. This include providing support to the Senior Manager while delivering ad-hoc queries which aid decision making, including deep dives to identify threats and opportunities.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Preferably have a degree or tertiary qualifications in data analytics, mathematics or actuarial science

  • Demonstrated experience in Data and Analytics

  • Experience with data extraction (SQL or SAS) and presentation (Excel, PowerBI or Tableau)

  • A positive and flexible can-do-attitude

  • Practical approach to problem resolution

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise competing requirements

  • Proven analytical capability to drive insight and recommendations for business improvement

  • Strong communication skills with ability to tailor communications to stakeholder requirements

  • You enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders across the bank

  • Have strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive optimal outcomes
