The Role

Fidelity Institutional (FI) is looking for a Product Analyst of Portfolio Construction Solutions (PCS) to join Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS) who will be accountable for implementing the development and maintenance of analytical tools used in the portfolio construction process. These tools will be used by not only members of the Investment team but also partners across FI in discussions with external clients. They will include platforms for portfolio risk & analytics, manager research, risk modeling, and optimization and include oversight of a data environment that enables those platforms.

In this role you will be facilitating requirement sessions with business partners, articulating business requirements and working within the technology organization to deliver new features/functionality. As a member of the product team you will contribute to the delivery of new features/functionality that supports the growing Portfolio Construction Solutions business. You will work closely with other analysts, product managers, engineers, and architects to define the right solution.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the requirements gathering of new features and/or enhancements for our portfolio construction platform.
• Collaborating with the business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions for business problems.
• Bringing curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the “why” and the “value” of new features/enhancements to the platform.
• Collaborating and coordinating with developers, engineers, and UX designers and enabling squad member growth, development, and learning
• Assisting with the development and oversight of a robust portfolio construction data environment and platform for use both internally and externally
• Ensuring robust data quality checks are in place to enable the use of all tools
• Conducting product acceptance testing and validation

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related fields
• 3+ years of business analysis and/or systems analysis experience
• Customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to translate user needs into measurable product improvements.
• Strong experience acting as a product analyst across multiple and different product lifecycles
• Highly effective interpersonal and teamwork skills that enable the cultivation of relationships across investment, technology, distribution, and other teams across Fidelity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Motivation to work collaboratively to drive product initiatives from idea to market
• Expertise with portfolio construction, Investment Management, Wealth Management techniques, demonstrating knowledge of different investment products will be plus
• Continuously improving and encouraging an Agile way of working

The mission of WAMS is to enable FI to provide advice driven investment solutions through high-value products, tools, and research insights. PCS supports various groups including Portfolio Engineering, Fundamental and Quantitative Manager Research, Alternatives/Private Market Manager Research, Portfolio Construction Tools & Analytics, Investment Oversight; and Investment Services. The Teams work together to propel our clients’ wealth management strategies with the best of Fidelity and our third-party asset management partners.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
