About the Role:
The team:
The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities and impact:
As a Product Analysis and Design Specialist, you’ll be working closely with product owners, development, QA and operation teams in an Agile and/or waterfall environment. Solution Engineering has a requirement for a Business Analyst to support the Jigsaw golden trade record and reference data platform that bridges our Trade Processing and Trade Lifecycle divisions for Rates, Credit, FX and Equity asset classes. The role requires the candidate to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational / coordination skills, and strong analytical skills. The successful candidate will be process-oriented and have a good understanding of product development lifecycle. The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to adapt to changes. The candidate will work closely with other Business Analysts and Product Managers in Trade Processing to deliver project change. The candidate will be expected to work with teams in India, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and London and build relationships internally as well as externally with clients

Key Responsibilities
• Requirement Analysis & Stakeholder Management: You have experience in requirements elicitation, structured analysis, and stakeholder management within waterfall and/or agile environments.
• Technical Communication & Gap Analysis: You can perform gap analysis, translate findings into user stories or functional specifications, and effectively communicate these to Development and QA teams to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: You are responsible for product acceptance testing of new features during development and reviewing test cases to ensure the final implementation meets the original business needs.
• Solution Assessment & Presentation: You are skilled in identifying potential solutions by assessing their technical and business suitability, and you can confidently deliver public presentations of concepts and ideas.
• Domain & Data Expertise: You possess essential knowledge of messaging formats like XML, FpML, FIXML, FIX, and JSON, with the ability to map between them; familiarity with Equities, ETD, Rates, FX, and Credit Derivatives is highly desirable.
• Product Ownership & Design: Experience as a Product Owner in an agile scrum team, a strong interest in new technology, and the ability to communicate UX requirements for GUIs through wireframing are considered beneficial assets

What we’re looking for:
• Education and Experience: You possess a B.Tech or MCA degree and have at least 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Business Analysis Expertise: You are proficient in essential Business Analysis techniques, including requirements elicitation, structured analysis, requirement documentation, stakeholder management, and the definition of use cases and user stories, supported by relevant academic qualifications or certifications.
• Financial Domain Knowledge: You have extensive knowledge of financial and OTC derivatives, including their principles, terminology, and commercial context, combined with previous experience in Financial Services IT.
• Technical Proficiency: You have hands-on technical skills including knowledge of SQL and object-oriented languages, strong expertise in messaging formats (XML, FpML, FIXML, FIX, JSON), and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio tools.
• Soft Skills: You demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills necessary for effectively handling complex requirements and organizational stakeholders.
• Leadership and Management: You have proven experience in project leadership and decision-making, with a track record of working effectively within product management environments and organizational settings.
